My Littles

I figured I would take a quick moment to post Grayson's 4 month pictures before another month goes by and I neglect to post them.  It was hard to get a picture without him jamming his fingers in his mouth but I managed to get a few smiles in there.

How many fingers can I fit in my mouth?

People say that they don't know how they will be able to love another child as much as they love their firstborn and they are always amazed at when the newest member arrives how their capacity to love another grows.  It was hard for both Adam and I to imagine loving another little one as much as Jackson, but like everyone else before us, our hearts have grown and is spilling over with love for both our littles.
Jackson "photo-bombing" Grayson's 4 month pics.
There's going to be a time when it'll be hard for us to remember Grayson ever being that small...just like we can barely remember Jackson being as small as he used to be.  I get excited for Grayson's next stage, what he'll be able to do next, his future interactions with Jackson (that don't involve Jackson scratching at Grayson's face), but I also want to slow down time and preserve these little moments when they are still little and snuggly.
Hey brother, this is my photo shoot!

My cup runneth over.

Smiling is my favorite!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Family

Prior to the holidays, we had our dear friend over at Seven Set Studios do some family photos for us.  It was an extremely cold day in November and it was windy to make matters even more uncomfortable.  Somehow K.C. managed to get some nice photos of us in between some screaming and crying from both boys.  I couldn't resist keeping the crying photos as well...I know that they will be pictures that we will share with our boys once their older and laugh about the silly faces that they're making.

Stay toasty everyone!

Celebrations

We've had a lot to celebrate since Thanksgiving.  Grayson's a smiling happy baby (most of the time).  He wants to sit up and play, and is interacting with those around him more and more.  He can't seem to get enough of chewing on his hands and will throw you adorable grins when he gets your attention. He's actually 4 months old today...need to get my camera out for his 4 month shot!)

Jackson turned 2 years old on December 11th.  Its hard to believe how big he has gotten from that barely 5 pound baby.  He's crawling all over the place, is standing for short periods of time against the couch, and is trying to communicate the best he can with us (which typically involves a lot of clapping for "yes" and "more").  He's in the 50th percentile for height and 30th percentile for weight and overall is a happy, healthy little boy.  We seem to finally be growing out of the spitting up...although we still have a little here and there especially if he gets too much liquids at once.

On the evening of his birthday, we opened up presents once Daddy got home.  He wasn't much interested in the presents.  It was around bedtime, so that didn't help things...we had a lot of tired, frustrated crying but as soon as the camera started clicking, the smiles arrived...He's such a ham.

Checking out his Elmo cash register...I'll admit I like the "old-school" one much better.

First reaction to a delicious gourmet cupcake...

He refused to pick it up himself...

Ignore the crusty nose...we were both getting over a cold...

The weekend after Jackson's birthday we headed over to my sister's to celebrate Evan's 3rd birthday (his birthday is two days after Jackson's).

Singing "Itsy bitsy spider"

The following day we had family over to Diane and Steve's to celebrate Jackson's 2nd birthday.  We decided to keep things low-key this year since Christmas was right around the corner (I know, poor Jackson is going to hate having his birthday so close to Christmas) and things have been very busy and stressful lately between work and the house.  It worked out well though and Jackson had a good time...

Happy birthday to our sweet little man!
